I needed some thick cord and some plum or aubergine velvet - tick those off the list. Really I should have stopped there, but they had Liberty print tana lawns for pennies (Ok, not quite pennies, but about 3 quid a metre), so I got a couple of those, and found some beautiful liberty needlecord for about the same (so I bought up the rest they had - only a couple of metres, but I couldn't resist!). The doll Rowan had made made me (Pol) has a dress in the same cord, and it is quite possibly my fave fabric ever (this week).
We had some lunch at Rowan's and some cake and tea, and then it was time for me to get off again :(
So, thank you Rowan, I had a lovely day, it was really nice to meet you and I shall be back over soon (if that's ok with you!)
When I got home, I had another parcel waiting for me - some mini boden needlecord I'd got from Ebay, and the lovely lady had sent me some scraps of mini boden spotty cord too, so another bonus! I had such a lovely day I've decided to have a PIF (because everyone is having them at the minute) and share my happiness around! So, the first 3 people that leave a comment will get sent something handmade by me through the post within the next 365 days (I think it'll be much sooner though!). All I ask is you pass the love on, and do something nice to someone in return.

wow, look at that stash, i can see what you mean about the green patterned cord, it is very appealing isn't it!.
does this mean i've signed myself up for 'pif'??, oh go on then!, i've so far avoided this (shame on me!), but i suppose it's time to join in : )
That shop sounds amazing, and I have a friend in Saddleworth, must go and investigate this when I go down to Yorkshire next.
Ooh, only 2nd comment, this means I have to go and be nice and generous to someone else then. Hm, what can I do...?
Looks like you had a great time ... I had planned to go the fent shop for supplies yesterday but i missed the little local bus !!!! so instead i spent the day making door sausages as Kitty has renamed them !!!!

Having the bathroom ripped out & the house is FREEZING ! as holes in the wall, doors and windows open - good job Tilly is at Kindergarten today .... So, escaped this morning, before switching on laptop, to Dunhelm for some warmth and a Latte and bit of cake (yum! yum!)
Glad you had a fab day shopping, bargain prices eh ?

Damn it - too late! Having a full time job and cats have ruined it for me this time. I got home at 5.30, and then had to clean up the cat litter that my lovely mogs had kicked around the house.
maybe next time...
(lovely fabric btw, especially the floral geometric print)

Mmmmmm ..... orange matchmakers ....
Have a happy weekend :)
Sorry I missed out on the PIF, even though I am already doing one! What a great stash of fabric. I once found some pretty Liberty stuff for 3 quid a metre and only got 2 metres. I am still kicking myself.
