I got tagged...

...last week by Driftwood and was told to name 8 random facts about me. Blimey, I'm not sure anyone really wants to know (coz I'm not very exciting!) but here goes.....

1:: I am incredibly shy, and have proper big panics whenever I have to meet someone new or go somewhere new

2:: Warren (that's my husband!) and I got married (in Las Vegas) 4 months after our first meeting, and I was pregnant with Grace 2 months after that. I'm a quick worker, I knew he was the one, so why wait around?! We've now been married for 9 years, and time has pretty much flown by.

3:: My mum tells me I didn't wear clothes until I was about 7...apart from in public (I can remember turning up to Infant School without socks and my mum being told off once). Any excuse to strip off and I was there. (I am a little better now...honest)

4:: I'm not a very reliable tooth fairy. I always thought I'd be fabulous, and make special little pouches for the coins......in reality I forget every single time Grace's tooth falls out...and blame the weather, or how busy she was, or that she had a party to go to, and couldn't get all her work done in time. I end up having to give double money for the disappointment (which makes it all better)

5:: I have a completely irrational dislike/fear of swimming pool water, and the areas around the pools that are wet. It all stems from when I had really badly infected eczema on my hands and feet, and the dermatologist told me if I was to take Leo to his weekly water babies session I was likely to end up in hospital on a drip (see 6) as the bugs that live in swimming pools are evil and will kill you. She was a bit of a scare mongerer I see now in hindsight, but it has given me the willies ever since!!!

6:: I have an even bigger irrational fear of needles.
When I was pregnant with Leo I had obstetric cholestasis (SP?) and had to have regular blood tests to check my liver count. When I was pregnant with Grace I was aneamic, and had to have regular blood tests to check my haemoglobin. I wimper when I have any kind of injection, like a pathetic little puppy. And every single time the nurse says the same thing 'if you hate needles so much why do you have such a...'

7:: ....large tattoo?' Because I have a big (well, I say it's medium size, but people without tattoos tend to think it's pretty huge) tattoo on my upper arm. And then another one on my belly, and a little tiny one on my wrist. And I don't think I've stopped yet.

8:: in my head I can sing like Mariah Carey and dance like Michael Jackson. Well, probably a bit better than both of them actually.

So those are the 8 random facts about me. Any one else fancy sharing some random facts? Go on.....you know you want to!!!

Postie came with the pink bunny this morning, thank you so much, I love it! As soon as Ella saw the parcel she said 'is that for me?' I said 'no, it's for me' becauses it's going to be a surprise christmas present for her.

So when she was busy with something else I sneeked upstairs into my work room and opened it up, she is even more pretty in the 'flesh' or should I say 'pink tweed', and it was so nice of you to include the little extras!
Having a little girl is lovely because I get to buy really cute and pretty things and indulge my girly-side with the excuse that it's for my little girl!

Fab facts!! Glad to see you weren't shy where hubby was concerned ;)

The tooth fairy in this house was pretty awful too .... especially if she was meant to be dropping by at the weekend .... I think she must have stayed at home drinking wine instead ....

Great facts! I'm really enjoying reading this one all over the place.

And as for the swimming pools, I can't speak for the public ones but the guidelines for chemical levels in school pools wouldn't let the vast majority of grotties survive long enough to do you any harm ...

I don't think I have many random facts to share (how boring am I?) I have a large tattoo on my back, and I used to have a LOT of piercings, but for one reason or another I only have my nose and ears, and another one somewhere else still in place. And I like long forks... to eat with - you know, the old fashioned kind that have really long prongs or whatever they are called on them. Actually I am a bit odd too.
I have posted your parcel today (long story and I only got your cheque yesterday - bloomin' Post Office!) - if there are any problems, please drop me a line and I'll sort them out for you.

I too share your fear of needles (have to lie down when having blood taken as I see stars and fall over) and I HATE public swimming pools - horrible dirty places. I've no tats tho - and the Vegas wedding sounds fab! Here's my random facts:
1. I once threw myself out of an aeroplane at 10000 feet with a man strapped to my back (and he had a parachute strapped to his thankfully)
2. I can touch the end of my nose with my tongue
3. My kneecap dislocates for no apparent reason and at the most inconvenient times (like when I'm walking or doing cartwheels) resulting in me hitting the floor like a sack of spuds
4. I love going to Robin Hoods Bay
5. I used to do karate and was actually quite good at it (got my blue belt - as blue is my fave colour I decided to stop there rather than move on to red, which I'm not a fan of)
6. I don't like small animals with teeth, so despise my sons pet hamster
7. I wish I could make a living making things from leather as well as my belts
8. I bought a car today. A brand new car. A red one. I just called in for a peek and ended up buying one. Just like that.
