dolls for Christmas and an explosion in a flower shop

Let's start with the explosion - wear sunglasses if you are adverse to bright colours and a lot of flowers...

A little while ago Leah and I were paired for the bend the rules sewing easy lap quilt swap (mouthful?). The idea was to send your partner your own choice of fabric, they then made a quilt using the BTRS book, and sent it back. I chose a lot of flowers, I wanted something bright and a bit 'whoa'. Poor leah, she's a lovely person, and it was quite unfair of me to inflict all of those patterns on her all at once, she's far more subtle and subdued. But, look at what she produced....

Honestly, it's amazing. A million times better than the one I made for her (not the fabrics, the whole thing - the construction and everything). Leah, expect something in the post soon as a thank you - I think you're fab. It's just beautiful.

So, on to the dolls. After my shameless plugging of the baby quilt the other day, here's a very small (cheaper) plug.

Holly and Misletoe - in the shop. EDIT; THEY BOTH SOLD! WHOO! THANK YOU LOVELY BLOGGY FOLKS XXX

Such sweet dollies (don't know how you have the time at this time of year). That quilt really is gorgeous , but then so is your baby quilt. Still stroking my chin (but then it may have gone now - haven't checked).

The quilt is gorgeous and very inspiring :: after I had seen these fabrics on your blog some time ago, I went to the LFS online and purchased in their half price sale...been pondering a quilt and now I see the potential of ll that combined knock-yer-socks-off-flowery-goodness, think I might give it a go.

I love all your quilts, and dolls, just everything, but I have to say I really love feeding the fish, and NOW you have a frog! With so many distractions I don't know if I will be able to concentrate on the post. Thanks for a really fun, and inspiring blog.
