Sunday Stash

Very, very precious stuff by Yoshiko Jinzenji, an amazing quilter from the home of all things wonderful - Japan.

I have never seen this fabric anywhere other than one place (which is sadly now closed), and when I saw it (and it was on sale) I snapped it up. I have 10 half yard cuts, enough to make a quilt.
She is apparently exhibiting this year at the Festival of Quilts, which always seems to fall on Miss G's birthday. But this year I am going, if only to be inspired and to decide what on Earth I can do with these fabrics to show them off in their simple glory.

EDIT - I was also wondering, does anyone fancy taking a trip to the festival of quilts on the Friday or Saturday? Should we arrange a trip out?

I have a few pieces of this fabric and can't decide what to do with it myself. Although I do have her book which shows some great ideas for the fabrics. Hmm, I wonder where that book is. :-)

I've never been to Japan but might have to go on a fabric-buying pilgrimage! Love your stuff!

Great fabrics!!
I wish I can tele-transport myself to that Festival of quilts. I get the feeling that all the happenings are far away from here.
Take pictures of the festival please!!

Loving your saturday stashiness, what eye candy you have there!! Am thinking of a festival of quilts visit and think a meet up is a very fine idea indeed, although I do have to check with work for time off.

I would love to go with you to the quilt festival but alas, I will be further than 8 hours away from you by the fabulous Miss G's birthday... Hard to believe I am making a quick exit stage left this Sunday (on Oz Mother's Day to boot). Boo Hoo. But your fabrics are cheering me up no end. :D

Hi I am new to the world of quilting and LOVE fabric and would love to go to FOQ. Cant find anyone around here who is going. I was thinking Friday or Saturday. I am coming from near Southampton if anyone wants to share a lift. Train at the moment looks expensive! Let me know if you plan anything please

I'm game for trip to the Festival of Quilts!! Haven't been yet as it's always clashed with hosting Chernobyl kids but having a year off this year so would love to go! I'm game to drive and will clear my boot out for the loot!!

Katy was wondering if you were able to pass on this comment to the attention of HappyEl who I have no other way of getting in touch with. If I get to go to the FOQ's I'd appreciate a lift as I live in Slough. Happy to split the fuel cost.
