Oh, winged messenger - what do you have for me?

This morning, bright and early a winged messenger (well, the UPS man) brought me gifts in orange boxes.

Ok, just one box. But still. To me those orange boxes are more than a little exciting....

Reluctantly I unwrapped it. They always look so perfect with ribbon tied around them, don't they? (boxes in general, not just the orange ones)

You can't see it too well on my terrible picture. And to be honest, you can't see it very well on the pictures on the website, but take my word for it - a scarf doesn't get much better than this...

Liberty x Hermes. I'm in love.

But that wasn't the only treat in the parcel. Oh no. Thanks to a friend I had a £30 off if you spend over £150 voucher. Now, you may say I should have stopped at the scarf, but then I wouldn't have got this little pretty - technically for free.

Look at the pretty little toys, and the...what?...GUNS?...HAND GRENADES?...KNIVES? I know, it's not to everyone's taste, and it is a little less beautiful than the regular tana lawns, but I had to get a little bit, it's designed by the artist Grayson Perry, whose work I will never be able to afford. I think I'll keep it somewhere safe, not cut it up.

On a different note, here's a completely unrelated picture of my baby. NooNoo, you do co-ordinate beautifully with hushabye, don't you?

Kitty looks soooo comfy on the Hushabye quilt. I have to keep chasing mine of the ironing board, which also doubles as my cutting board. I'm not popular when I move him.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the scarf, it's divine.

The other fabric would be perfect for applique as all the bits are separated beautifully.

I'm off to start and finish my second block for Shanna, finally! :-)

I'm not a scarf person but it must be a very special one for that price! Maybe you can use the box to send Noonoo to me, he's so cute. And he will need a Hushabye quilt to keep him warm on his way to Holland of course ;)

I adore your scarf. Such a divine accoutrement is on my one day list.

All right. NOTHING in my mail box will ever measure up to that scarf. Can you just cut a small snippet off and send it to me? Just a wee corner is all I need. Thanks. :-b

That scarf is lovely. And NooNoo is so adorable. If I let my cats into my sewing room I would not get anything done. They are too much of a distraction. They are just too darn cute for their own good. Gets them out of trouble most of the time too.

I like Grayson Perry's stuff too, but he's never going to get as good as Sleepy Cat Reclining in Comfort!

You are so right, Hermes x Liberty = sigh!

I'm GREEN over your Hermes! Beautiful! Anniversay gift?? I have one as well which I used to only take out on special occasions but now wear my hair all wrapped up in it.

Don't fear the washing machine! I had a friend from Paris who washes hers all the time and so do I. Gentle cycle, of course - and line dry.

You are blessed!
