spiderwebs have taken over my life

The spiderweb quilt is growing. Albeit slowly, but that's what sticking to just one a day will do for you. I think I'll love it more if I take my time and not go all out hell bent on finishing it fast.

However, my next obsession has shown itself. It's lucky we don't have any pottery barns here. Because I am in love with that single girl quilt. In Katie Jump Rope. Heck, Denyse Schmidt knows how to get into my head and poke at my brain. Did she know I've been hoarding KJR? Buying up more in case of an international shortage? Swapping my kids, husband and cats for flea market fancy? It seems she did know that, and has given me a purpose. Maybe next year though, Denyse, it's getting too close to Christmas and I still have to cut out the fabrics for my mum's quilt, get a christmas quilt finished and a baby quilt for my friend who could have had her baby and I just haven't heard yet. I should call her. My friend, not Denyse. I don't have her number (oh, but if only I did).

I've got me the pattern. I might have to top up the stash a little bit more. Just in case.

You can make your patchwork rings quilt with a combination of KJR and FMF - a real Denyse tribute! LOL :-)

Love the "cheeky" mix of selvedges in your spiderweb - it is looking good.... Think you are onto something good with your one a day method
; )

I need to dig out my spiderwebs, soon...

I love the way your spiderweb quilt is turning out. I know what you mean about the Single Girl Quilt, it is stunning.

Loving the colours. It's going to be divine! Pottery Barn is fabulous and I'm glad Australia doesn't have one either.

LOVING the spiderwebs!

At least they aren't the kind that stick to your face when you're the first one down the path in the mornings! My kids always make me go first. I should add "spider bait" to my resume. Ick! And yes, Single Girl is genius, as is Denyse. Agreed.

Love how your spiderweb quilt is coming along!

I am the same way with DS fabric and that single girl pattern. I have the pattern but am too afraid to make one. I almost caved and bought the one at pottery barn.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaarrgggghhh! Katy! Those blocks are GORGEOUS!!!! And you've had the same idea that I was brewing - using selvedges! I had them all laid out ready! How am I going to cope with work now? I NEED to be sewing!!!!!

Oooohh, this is gonna be GREAT, Katy! It's so very happy already! Since I don't own a single piece of KJR, you can have my share that I have apparently declined. Does that help?

Spiderwebs look great - and the Single Girl Quilt is high on my "To do list" - good luck!

Oh my goodness! I think this is my favorite spider web quilt I've seen thus far. It makes me want to swoon! I, too, adore the bits of selvage thrown in. WONDERFUL!

After stalking the newsagency for what seems like an age, I finally got my hands on the Summer Sew Hip mag, and now I know what as sparked your obsession with Spiderwebs! I love Sew Hip! Did you get a copy of the Homespun Mag that featured your gorgeous rocket quilt?

I admire your restraint and mitivation. I am a bit all or nothing. I either do 76 blocks in a day or i do 3 and then it sits there forever. Alhough, they look so gorgeous that i think i would be really motivated by this.
I adore the single quilt pattern!!

I want to make a Bento box quilt with the KJR. Guess I better start collecting before you get it all.

I made one block of the Single Girl Quilt and that was enough for me!

I love the dots in your Spiderweb, off to check out your tut!

I also admire your spelling (or consistent use of spellcheck). My brain is mushed today....cannot compute long enough to be able to spell...or type...

Yet another project for my "need to do" list.

Must.stop.following.etsy.links... bankruptcy looms. LOL

Katy you're a magic maker. How do you manage to create such gorgeousness so often?! Do you have a not so evil twin who works through the night on these beauties. Every time I bounce over here there's another quilt or two!

Forgot to mention how amazing these stars are. They make me dizzy just thinking about the precise cutting required.
