Can I introduce you to THE HURRICANE a set of 19 fat quarters of klona cotton in rainbow colours from Backstitch. Klona cotton is not kona cotton - it's slightly thicker, slightly stiffer but it works really well for anything you would want to use a cotton fabric for.
I've used it in quilts (I used it in the bathmat pic above), Miss G recently recently made a covered canvas for her art homework using the white klona as her base fabric. It washes wonderfully and softens right up.
I actually love it for patchwork because it's so easy to finger press seams, which means my points are better (that has to be a good thing!).
Alice at backstitch is offering up this whole stack of all the different colours, worth £26 to one lucky UK BASED winner. If I won (and obviously I can't because I'm not allowed to enter my own competition) I would make this quilt - wouldn't it look fabulous as a rainbow of colours for a child's bed?

Wow, those are such gorgeous colours. And a slightly stiffer cotton would be awesome for my crochet project bags - I make Japanese Knot bags which need a little more support. With that many colours, I could co-ordinate my bags to the projects!

Wow! Another fantastic giveaway! I think I'd have to have a go at an all solid colour quilt such as the Plain Spoken Quilt made by Rebekah. I saw it ages ago and it's always stuck with me. So... *fingers crossed!*

Not the least idea what I'd use it for, but I'm sure I'd find something fairly quickly!
I'd use it to make lots of rainbow coloured pencil rolls. I love the kind where each pencil/felt tip has its own slot with the right colour fabric behind.
What a beautiful selection of colours!
We use linen in our quilts, and mix it with our own cotton prints, so a flash of contrasting colour could really add a new dimension- i'd use this gorgeous selection to experiment with that!
Oh I love them :) And I'm always in need of solid colours around here. I think I'd combine them with my favourite prints and make a rainbow quilt for me.
I would use that delicious pile to make something from Cherry Houses city quilt book.

oh how gorgeous! I am a total sucker for rainbows of any kind. I've been wanting to make the Oh Fransson painbox quilt for ages, and this would be a fantastic way to get hold of loads of plains all at once!
ooooh yes please !! - I'm determined to do a paintbox quilt as my next big project, but equally I'm very keen on doing a bathmat, with a really thick terry backing I think. This would be perfect.

Ah, that explains it. I saw the klona on their website and did wonder what was going on. It sounds like it would be good for little bags, I've got some ideas I am hoping to try out soon.

I'd make a Pinwheel Quilt, pairing the solid colours with patterned fabrics of the same hue. A real rainbow.

As it is a slightly thicker cotton would be great for making bags to give them a bit more shape or great to add to my quilt (well my pile of so called blocks that will one day be a quilt!)

What an amazing giveaway! I'm not sure what I'd use it for in the end, but first I would just sit it all on my desk and pat it every once in a while - mmm, what a beautiful stack! The grays and lighter blues would then be immediately whisked off to what I call my 'happy pile' - a stack of fabrics I've been gathering gradually and hoarding to, one day, make a special quilt just for me. If I won this I would give this to my mum, she has just moved into a new house near to me so I can help her out. OOOh, this is gorgeous. I am really getting into solids at the moment and want to use them more. I am currently planning to make rainbow colored pencil rolls as Christmas gifts for arty little ones and friends and these fabrics would be PUUURRRFECT.

I am a poor student so this Christmas I am handmaking all my presents....that is i am hand making personalised Christmas stockings for my mum, dad, sister and her new husband who is back from Afgan in 2 days! (He is a marine and they haev hardly had a week together since they got married)
They are hosting Christmas and I really want to make it special.
This fabric is divine and would be wonderful to make the stockings out of as I am going for bright colours, patchwork and a bit of a kitsh edge with them.!

Omigosh! I would soooooo love to win this little beauty. If I could bear to break up the pile which looks gorgeous as it is, I would use it as the basis for a new rainbow skirt for myself and a smaller one for the kiddie for belly dancing in. Having been meaning to for ages and this would be the incentive to get cracking in the Christmas hols :O)
