The scrap vomit/technicolour yawn quilt has been worked on by Chris's magic long arms (well, her long arm machine...but I do like to think of her with incredibly long arms that she rolls up and tucks into her belt).
And now for binding. I'm thinking black to tie in with the diamond shapes in the blocks rather than more scrappiness.
Today the sun is shining - it's a perfect day to sew.

Looks amazing!
Oh such a beautiful quilt!!!! Can't we get a different name than "scrap vomit?" hehehehe. It's too pretty to be called vomit!!!
Gorgeous! I'm seeing so many great quilts online this morning; sure beats exercising.
wow, that is so so beautiful. I just love a scrappy quilt.
It's gorgeous but I agree, scrap vomit is a mean name! Black for the biding, yes.
Hen x
this is great! and i love the idea of black binding. i think it will bring it all together!
I LOVE this! So beautiful!
Marvellous - yet again !! Black binding will frame it very well.
I love this so much & I really love that your long arm gal can tuck her arms into her belt...even better! So handy for reaching things on tall shelves!
Ok...first of all, your quilt is STRIKING!
Now for a name...think about the song, "Anticipation"....by Carly Simon. Do you have it in your head??? Once you get the melody in your mind, sing..."re gur it a tion"
A little better than "scrap vomit"?
LOL
Hugs,
Helen
yay! Sing Ho! for the technicolour Yawn ... it looks magnificent :)
Deffo black binding, it will make that blue super-sparkly!
Totally gorgeous! You are inspiring me to get going on mine again!
This is AWESOME!!! I have my 2.5" squares cut but nothing sewn yet... You've given me the motivation to start sewing immediately!
What a stunning quilt, it's gorgeous!!
Best technicolour yawn I've ever seen! Love the name, dont change it :-) And I agree, i think black binding will really tie it together. Looks great!
Wunderbar! Absolutely fab! My scraps want to be in a quilt that is that wonderful!
I love this quilt so much!! It's awesome!
when I saw the pic I thought to myself 'I wonder if she will put a black binding on it' and then I read your post. I think it has to be black. For vomit, it's looking pretty tasty (eugh).
it looks stunning!!
gasp! this is so much lovelier than its name :-) I love how the aqua and black leap out.
It looks fantastic!

woo hooo! i hope you make another one. :o)
Amazing quilt!!
just LOVE IT!
Gorgeous as always! I love the small squares. You're amazing.
Chris may have long arms but I think you must have at least four arms! How do you sew so much??? Fantastic!
Wow, I love this quilt!
Great quilt! A wonderful way to "organize" so many various scraps. Really stunning.
Beautiful! I flippin' love it. It a bit makes me want to vomit with jealousy!
Totally brilliant !
Katy, it looks great! I think the black binding will be just stunning.
oh, katy, katy, katy. this is AmAzInG!
I love this! So beautiful. I love how all the bits and pieces are different and scrappy but it all comes together with the blue and black. Very nice!
I love it! I love that the blue and black give your eyes a resting spot. You did a wonderful job!
:-) vomit is such an ugly word - doesn't fit this quilt at.all.
Ahh I do so love the scrappy vomitty quilt, it is divine, black binding sounds perfect!
Very nice! I see no resemblance to vomit though....
It is gorgeous!
Wow, that looks really super... cannot wait to see the finished item, totally yummy!
It's gorgeous; I must get cutting those 2.5 inch squares, I really want to make one now! Still love the name 'scrap vomit', even if it seems to be a bit controversial!
PS what is the secret of your speed?? It's taken me a week to piece together 12 5 inch squares with a bit of sashing!
That turned out beautifully! So many possibilities with that. Not just in using up general scraps, but its a good way to keep treasured (if no longer perfect) baby clothes, or for a bed size I Spy quilt. I love it!
