The Hexy MF is all packed up and ready to ship off to Angela for her magic quilting touch. We'll be reunited at Quilt Market in Houston this October. And then Hexy MF can keep Lu and me cozy on the plane ride home. Clever thinking, eh? I might make it a tradition. Go to Quilt Market sans quilt, come home with quilt. I did it at Spring Market too with the Honey Child quilt that had been hanging in Jennifer's booth (and was then used by the little old lady on the plane next to me to sleep under. Sweet, huh?)
See more of the ridiculously long journey of hexagons in my flickr set here.
Time to start a new english paper pieced project, me thinks.

It's wonderful - do you know how Angela is going to quilt it or will it be a surprise? I think picking up your quilt at QM is perfect - you'll have all those hours in the plane to admire your handiwork!
Beautiful Katy! I LOVE the background fabric you chose. Really sets the AMH off.
Great job! I haven't found fabric that I would a bunch of hexies in but I also think that it's just scraps that should be hexies.
what a lovely quilt: envy you going off to Houston as well
Wow!!!! This is amazing! What beautiful work!!
Fantastic! It looks wonderful.
I love this quilt Katy. Makes me want to take the drive down to Houston so I can see it in real live life after Angela sprinkles her fairy dust quilting all over it. The applique takes it to a whole new level. It is amazing.
Gorgeous. I went to your class so my hexagons are going to look like this aren't they?!?
That's a beauty alright! 'Quilts on a Plane' - I like the sound of that, with Samuel L Jackson!
