suddenly competitive

I admit - I am not a naturally competitive person, I was never sporty at school, I've never been the best at anything in particular, I didn't like the attention winning got you - I'd rather be somewhere at the back, just hanging out.

Each week over on the Quilting Gallery there is a contest, where readers submit their own projects and others then vote for them. This week's contest is dresden plate quilts, and I entered for the fun of it. I swear.

Now - as the contest is on it's last day and voting is nearing the end I'm getting really competitive. I'm not sure what has come over me, but I want to win. I'm holding my hands up - it's nasty, and ugly and this sudden urge in me to beat the rest of the quilts (which are all pretty darn amazing) is overwhelming me.

So you know what I'm asking of you, right?

Go vote. Please. My quilt - Dreaming of Dresden is the one pictured below. I love this quilt. It was based on a pattern in Material Obsession and quilted by Long Armed Chris. It gets used daily, it didn't used to - it used to sit on a stack too precious to use until I thought, to hell with that - use that damn quilt lady. So I do, and it makes me happy.

{love} you dresden plate

Appease me, go cast a vote.

{and thank you x}

EDITED TO ADD -

I WON!!! I'm so happy, and so excited - thank you to everyone for voting, I ended up with an amazing 547 votes and 44% of the total. Wow.
