The Hexy MF quilt along is now in it's...um...4th week? I'm working on the blog posts, we've had fabrics, cutting, basting (x2) and now piecing together the flowers. So I guess that makes it 5. Anyhoo - we are well into the quilt along and I'm having fun, so I'm hoping everyone else is. Click on the mosaic above to take you to the photo credits for each picture. I've been seeing a lot of pictures on instagram, not so many in the flickr group but plenty of chatter on twitter and plenty of pictures popping up here and there. I know I'm not alone, so that is the main thing!!! I am absolutely loving seeing the variations and the fabrics people have chosen. There are some stunning quilts in progress, I can hardly wait to see them all done (I know, I'll be waiting a while!)
You can join in whenever you want, you don't have to follow the quilt along to the letter, make a smaller quilt, make a pillow. Heck, make a single flower and call it a day! Everything you need to know to get started is over on the Fat Quarterly blog. Acrylic templates for cutting out fabrics (which are optional) are available in my etsy store.

I started basting some hexies last night! I'm using the one inch - because my scraps are small.
I feel the need to do some flowers on 1/2 inch hexies too.
OK, I just have to ask. What does the MF stand for? I feel so clueless but the um, expression that pops into my head when I read it on your blog is not correct I am sure :-)
