scrappy christmas trips

scrappy christmas trips

I finished my scrappy trip along in Christmas fabrics! Well, the top at least! I'm waiting for the backing fabric to arrive (it's a sketch flannel in lipstick - I think it'll be a perfect snuggly backing. By the way - use MOVING15 for 15% off all orders at Pink Castle Fabrics, now would be a good time to stock up on those flannels maybe?) and then it can go off to be quilted!

Today on my Sizzix blog I'm sharing how I select fabrics for a project, using this quilt as an example. I hope you find it interesting and possibly some help. If you have any questions just pop back here and let me know.

Wow it looks amazing! If you have a moment to answer, how many blocks did you make for this one and how much backing fabric do you think you need? I am still working away on my scrappy trip and yours looks like a great size. I want to follow your lead and get some sketch flannel with the coupon code, thanks so much!

I haven't yet started the scrappy trip but I did do a scrappy heart with a bunch of 2 1/2 " squares and it went so fast! I was so surprised ~ thought it would take forever. and it turned out pretty cute too.
Love your Christmas scrappy trip ~ great idea to get started now for Christmas! I already started collecting things.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE all these scrappy tripalong quilts! I've been stalking people on Instagram looking at them all! I'm so jealous that I have to finish other projects before I'm allowing myself to start another one! Yours looks very cuddly!
